July 30, 2017… Day 192
Oh hi. Here we are, just grinding and lurching toward authoritarianism. Trump’s batshit tweets are getting boring.
Then we have this guy, posting this:
I’m pretty sure the subtext is how Nancy Pelosi is full of herself. Thanks for being part of the sexist air we breathe, Chris Cillizza. We should cherish the women who 1) slip through the cracks of the system that crushes our confidence at puberty 2) manage to build up their skills and strengths, 3) have a chance to use them in the big leagues, and 4) then don’t ERASE themselves and their strengths to be more palatable to asshats like this guy.
On the other side of the competency spectrum:
If only that were true.
Sometimes the NYT edit tweets feel more dramatic than others:
I love it that they still call the New York Times the Gray Lady. I had a paper route on the day in 1997 when the paper first featured color photographs. I remember heaving the big stack of papers out of the drop bin early in the morning, down at the bottom of campus by the playing fields, and feeling like I was in the know because I was seeing the front page before everyone else.
This doesn’t seem all that diplomatic either:
I’m not the only one who thinks this has been an especially crazy week.
And finally, as a postscript:
